Got the end-of-summer blues? Tired of the same-old same-old?
Shake, shimmy, and dance them away at BellyPalooza!
With a dozen workshop instructors and an ever-growing list of vendors selling must-have goodies, the Baltimore BellyPalooza festival is bigger and better than ever in 2008! As always, BellyPalooza will offer something for everyone: from Turkish to Tribal, Egyptian to Belly/Jazz, Introductions to Belly Dance Moves (for beginners) to Advanced Technique Worshops, and Oriental Dance History to Dancing with Veils and Goblets!

The festival is free! Each workshop class costs $25 ahead of time, $30 at the door. Sign up for as few or as many workshops as you want, and feel free to drop in! (To ensure a place in your must-have classes, it is recommended to register ahead of time.)
Festival location: The Mattin Center on the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus (the main University campus), at the “T” of 33rd and Charles Streets in Baltimore.
BellyPalooza is open to everyone and will have over a dozen vendors, including many from around the country, some making their first appearance in the area. Even if you don't feel like shopping (... is that possible?) come on by and see what the International Bazaar has to offer you!
And come witness Belly Dance Magic! Held at the Baltimore Museum of Art (a two-minute walk away from workshop classes), Belly Dance Magic is BellyPalooza’s evening of entertainment – fun, family-friendly, and a spectacular show. Nationally and internationally-renowned dancers will take the stage to entertain and delight their audience. Come see a gathering of talented dancers from around the world! Theater doors open at 7pm for open seating, and the performance starts at 7:30. Tickets are $25 ahead of time, $30 at the door.
BellyPalooza is Baltimore’s largest annual belly dance event, offering introductory level workshops to the general public in addition to advanced classes for intermediate to professional dancers. Whether you’ve been dancing for years, or have never danced, come enjoy ancient and modern forms of Belly Dancing with a wonderful community!
